Although "Disgracing the Family Name" was actually released in England in November 1979, the reviews started appearing in both the U.K. and the U.S. in January 1980. The Debut LP, considered an important release, was immediately and extensively written about internationally. Although not in as great a number, the first single from the LP, "Obsessions of You," received several reviews internationally. "Maybe One Time" was released solely in England, and subsequently was only reviewed in the British press.
